Almost September

This time of year I still find myself getting caught up in the rites and rituals of Back to School. I just love new packs of paper, folders, new ring binders, pencils, pens and all the other paraphernalia that goes with learning -- and I admit to being a perpetual student (long before the PC term, "life-long learner", came into vogue.

Friday I received my study notes for my latest M.Div. course -- Intro to the Jewish Bible: Part I -- and I await the text from Amazon Canada. Today I got more goodies from Amazon -- and from Chapters/Indigo Books, including Saving Dinner -- a FLYlady favourite -- and
Celebrating Your Creative Self: More Than 25 Exercises to Unleash the Artist Within, by Mary Todd Beam. What's more, both Quilting Arts and FiberArts arrived in the last few days.

The latter few are in keeping with my art quilting quest. I am currently taking an online course intitled Playing With Shapes with Lily Kerns, and have just registered for another -- Painted Landscapes, with Michelle Scott -- both through Quilt University. Late in September, I'll be taking another course with Anna Hergert -- this time, once a month -- entitled Designing Quilters, offered through Addie's in Cochrane.

At the same time, I am doing more writing...

All with the hopes not only of exploring my creative potential more deeply, but also of healing my soul, which has been greatly battered these last 7 or 8 years.

Sigh not, though, Gentle Reader! I think this is going to be a worthwhile exercise, mentally, emotionally and spiritually -- and it's bound to be fun!
