With Every Ending...

There is a new beginning.

I have had my moments of doubt about the role of our US friends in Iraq, but today I extend my thanks to them for seizing Mr. Hussein peacefully and without incident. I rejoice at the words of Mr. Bush, when he says Hussein will face the justice he never granted to others. I hope and pray that a Western example of self-control, restraint, fairness, grace and calm will be an example to him, used by God, to open Hussein's heart to accept responsibility for his past behaviour, and to go forward to ask God's forgiveness, and to be redeemed -- even if, in the end, he faces a death sentence.
