The 'Ayes' Have It

As in 'Aye, yes, I rather like the one with the tulle."  As it turns out, so did I, so here's the finished piece, fresh from the sewdio:

Winter Sunrise (c) 2013
What you see is what I think will show through a 5" x 7" space in an 8" x 10" matt.

Next, I finished this one:

Ski-Doo Tracks Under the Arch

I renamed this piece once I'd quilted it and found I'd got a bit goofy with the snow-scape.  Ski-Doos are the snowmobiles made and popularized by Bombardier, a Quebec company, and now sold under the umbrella of Bombardier Recreational Products (BRP).  I hope they won't get excited because I put the brand name in the title.  The Ski-Doo brand of snowmobile is so ubiquitous, it's like calling all tissues "Kleenex", regardless of who makes it.  The 'Arch' refers to a Chinook Arch which, while not seen as frequently this far east of the Canadian Rockies, can on occasion make an appearance of a winter's day...and did so as recently as a week or 10 days ago.

I have another 10 miniatures to make before the show in mid-April, but with these two finished, I'll likely move to one of the mid-sized pieces I have planned, and then go back to the minis.  For now, I'm linking in with Nina-Marie and her Off the Wall Friday blog.  Enjoy!

I like the way you have used the quilted lines to move through the landscape. Wonderful.
