Lost in Wonder

I think Santa's a great guy...really I do.  I love the Christmas spirit, the baking, the decorations, the music, the old movies, the presents.  But as The Eve of Christmas wends its way toward The Day, as I put in the last few stitches here and there, as I assemble the creche and wrap the gifts, as I make one last trip to the Post Office and to the General Store (for milk), I find myself...wordless.

Love divine, all loves excelling,
Joy of heaven to earth come down;
Fix in us thy humble dwelling;
All thy faithful mercies crown!

...Come, Almighty, to deliver
Let us all thy life receive;
Suddenly return and never,
Never more Thy temple leave.

...Changed from glory into glory,
Till in heaven we take our place,
Till we cast our crowns before Thee,
Lost in Wonder, Love and Praise.
