Solstice Squares

cast a long shadow on my cutting table -- and it's not even 2 p.m.!  The shortest day of the year on this side of the planet, I've still managed to cut out all 350 of the 2 3/8" squares I need for Part 5 of the Orca Bay Mystery Quilt.

Next step: slice 'em in half and sew the resulting "wings" onto the half-square triangles I made in Step 3.  I might just be able to start on this later this afternoon, if the yarn for the Christmas Sweater isn't in today's mail...

Oh yes -- and yesterday I made another cranberry loaf, and the Annual Christmas Boxer Shorts for my son.  There's something grumpily endearing about that Grinch!
