Judy Martin, a Canadian quilt artist, has once again introduced me to a bit of Canadian art quilting history of which I was totally ignorant. She just introduced me to the work of Joyce Wieland, (1932-1998), whose work is remembered in this online supplement to Canadian Art magazine. Two words: Oh. My.
