Can't Show You Photos...

because I'm posting from my DD's computer, but I cleared the first 60% of the Northern Shop Hop today.  I hopped -- and yes, I shopped.  But moderately.  Seriously.  I'm poor as a church mouse and have a stash large enough to open my own teeny shop.  But I felt badly not buying anything (aside from the $6 CAD entry fee, which gave me my 'Passport' and a free swatch of the Hop's selected fabric), and so...

At Quilting from the Heart (Camrose), I bought 2 FQs of the selected fabric to make a little somethin' for my step-sis' November birthday.  I'm thinkin' laptop cover.  The line includes a wonderful lime green, which is her favourite colour.  I also bought a couple of navy Japanese print FQs to add to the hanten jacket I'm making my son for Christmas.  Lastly, I bought a small can of 505 spray, for when I want to quilt in the style of one of my Quilting Heroes, Pamela Allen.

At The Chicken Coop in Mundare, I bought a FQ to enter into the FQ draw.  If I win, I get all of the fat quarters purchased by the entrants.  Whoo-hoo!  And...I made a donation to the Charity of Choice (local food bank) so got entered in yet another drawing.

"Let Sleeping Cats Lie" - designed by Helene Knott
My last stop for today was Lori's Country Cottage in Sherwood Park, where I bought a pattern.  I couldn't resist.  I'm a long-time, bona fide Cat Person, so I just had to have it!  Can you blame me?

I have a wonderful stash to draw on for the blocks, and I might just make it pour moi!

Tomorrow: 2 quilt shops and a yarn shop.  Fibre artist heaven!

Sounds like so much fun!! You can't go to all of those shops and not buy anything! Have fun with the next 40% of your Hop and good luck with the drawings! I hope you win something wonderful!

The quilt pattern was designed by a friend of mine, Helene Knott. ( her name got cut off in your post.) She's very talented! Check out her garden patch kitties!
