A Few More Grey Hairs...

Today, I completed my first successful Bullion Knot, with a little help from Sharon B's Stitch Dictionary and the great video at Needle 'n' Thread. Even with the great illustrations, it was a slow process, wherein I had to remind myself to breathe, and during which I am sure I acquired a number of new grey hairs! And this was in the creation of just one flower on my "'P' is for Princess" sampler.

Here's what I managed to do so far:

I have 2 more to go!! (Knots, that is...)

Wish me luck!

I love it that you're posting so much! Off to Stitches tomorrow. My nephew will drive me down to the memorial service from Baltimore, where he lives. William flies in on Friday and I'll see him Saturday and Sunday morning. Family is a good thing.

OH Honey! Once you get the hang of Bullion knots you will put them everywhere! Embroidery is such a beautiful thing. I started my Daughter out when she was 9. We took a Brizilian class together. She had such tiny hands that it was much easier for her than the adults. Most of the adults were pissed when they saw a child in the class. They thought she would slow them down. HA! When she had to stop and help the others....New story! Keep wrapping and securing. You'll be so happy!
