On the Move!

The next few weeks are going to be extremely busy chez moi as I sift, sort, give away and pack to move. Yep! I have found my 'dream house' in Mirror, Alberta, and have sold my house here in Calgary. Moving is scheduled for the last weekend in September! I have been blessed with several friends and my daughter who will help, for which I am very grateful. (Son is in a key production and can't, so I am hoping to recruit a couple of his young, brawny high school buddies here.)

In fact, I feel as if this entire project has been blessed from start to finish, as it has proceeded so smoothly. I am one who believes that God is in charge (though I am not always keen on His methods!) and that some things in life happen because they are supposed to. This move seems to be one of those things...

For today, however, I am turning off the document shredder, the sifting and sorting, to join my knitting sisters of the Gilli Hook Heritage Knitting Guild for Knitting in the Park, an annual summer event that has us knitting in a local park from 10 a.m. till 6 p.m., followed by a barbeque at the home of a member who lives right across the road. (Good for using the biffy during the day, too!). I am hoping to remember my camera, so I can post a few photos. I am also taking baskets/bags of yarn and magazines that I hope they'll snap up, because I don't want to move 'em!

More later...
