Onward and Upward
What can I say? I continue to work on the socks started at the Stampede on Saturday; I am now turning Heel #1. I am also working on my ECQ block, and have the embroidery pretty well completed:
Lesson 4 arrived this a.m., and requires a read through. I glanced at the first page and was surprised to see that it mentioned braids and trims, as I had already added some ric-rac and a lace trim not included with my original seams. Hmmm. And I thought I was running behind, because I haven't even read through Lesson Three completely!!
Then there's my knitting. I am making great progress on the socks started at Stampede; I am turning the heel on Sock #1. However, my 2 larger projects are lagging a bit. I'm referring to the modular afghan and the short-sleeved ribbed summer cardi, both from the May issue of Creative Knitting. The former has become quite bulky, and too heavy to knit on hot days. Mercifully, it's cool and rainy today, so I thought I'd take it over to Knit Night tonight and work on it there, where the group can inspire me. The latter is faring somewhat better, as I work on it when the bookshop (where I work part-time) is quiet. Another couple of inches and I'll begin the armhole shaping. As it's knit in one piece to those armholes, this means I've done quite a bit of knitting!
I see by the clock on the wall that KnitNight is nye, so th-th-that's all folks!
