Surfacing

It's been a rough weekend. My dear cousin and god-mother (whose first name is also mine) died Saturday evening in Ottawa after a sudden turn (she was really doing quite well -- we got notes from her last week) -- at age 80. I have spent much of today on the phone and e-mail making funeral arrangements and discussing the Estate with the other Executors/Trustees. The blessing is that God is in the details, and all is falling into place for a memorial service the 2nd week in August, when my Dear Sis and I planned to be there anyway....

On the craft front, I spent yesterday afternoon stitching, and Saturday (all day) with my quilt guild (making a splendid jacket from a plain vanilla sweatshirt)...more on that later, but suffice it to say it was all very comforting...
