I'm On Retreat!

Sort of...

My DH and a good buddy are travelling south to visit our DS today, and staying overnight. It's DH's first trip away from home Without Wife (that would be me)...and I am rejoicing -- even though he's a bit nervous about it. But Buddy nursed a DW through cancer, so I am sure he can handle a cantankerous, wheelchair dependent prankster like my DH! ;-)

I already have Peter Togni on the stereo, and am full of plans. First I work on my Saturday Block and my Thimbleberries-style BOM from Freckle's -- due next weekend!!

This afternoon, a Girlfriend and I are going to a display of City and Guilds Needlework, followed by coffee/latte and some serious browsing at Mona's new LYS.

This evening, I have a dinner date with Buddy's DW, H. -- we wanna get into Joey Tomato's, where their House Red is lovely and soft, and their bruschetta, to die for. (Let's not even discuss dessert!!)

Tomorrow is Sabbath, and I will spend it very quietly...my ISFJ soul can handle only so much in the way of People, before it needs Space.

Dear Bess gets to have these sorts of days all week, as she is on Vacation (sigh)...But I will count my blessings and enjoy my weekend too -- as I hope you do yours
