Gone Shoppin'!

It's been a fun coupla days. Yesterday I was down at Rumpled Quilt Skins in Okotoks for my first stained glass class. There was just me and the instructor, B, so I was spoiled! I came away with section 1 of a 4-section hanging completed -- a cardinal on a branch. Plus I managed to get well along on section 2, so I'm pleased.

While there, though, I allowed Linda (the proprietress) to sell me a new Husqvarna Lily...to be picked up March 13 (complete with lessons on how to use it)! I'm like a little kid in anticipation! Because these models are being replaced by something only a tad 'fancier' (and more than a tad more expensive), she gave me a fabulous price, too! Now I think she has only a couple left...

Then I get home and check my e-mail, only to discover that Pauline at Hamel's Fabrics is having a Garage Sale! What's a girl to do? I have a project -- a A Star 4 All Seasons tablerunner -- to do as an anniversary gift for some Dear Friends. What better way to do it than with some Bali Batiks?

This afternoon I am off to a 4-hour conference (more later) and will take my knitting. Much of the conference is on a screen via satellite, so I think I can get away with working on the topper I'm making a Dear Girlfriend for her birthday...We'll see how much of the latest skein I can use up!

Adios...
