And So it Goes...

Prairie Spring (C) 2015\

Dear Margaret Blank,

Thank you so much for submitting to our bi-annual juried textile show.   This year we had submissions come in from as far as New Brunswick and British Columbia in a variety of materials and methods.  I regret to inform you that your textile work was not selected for this year’s exhibit as there were several pieces submitted exploring the atmosphere and iconography of the prairies. We wish you all the best in your artistic pursuits and hope to see you participate in future calls.

Sorry, Margaret. It is always disappointing but remember that it just meant the piece didn't fit with this exhibit. It still is a beautiful composition.

I'm sorry Margaret. It's like trying to get published, isn't it?

Lovely quilt Marg... it will be a very beautiful addition to your home or as a gift one day... what about a "series" for a small exhibit, building around this one as a base for more new work!

It takes courage to submit your work to a jury. That in itself is an accomplishment(which I've never done). I know you must be disappointed but you're not someone to give up and your work is incredible. Keep putting it out there.

A very lovely quilt. Sorry to read that it was not accepted for this particular textile show. Hope it will be accepted next time around.
