Isn't She Lovely?

A few lovely images to ease you into October.

First, this miniature I finished last week:

Bloomin' Buddies - (C) 2013
5" x 7" - matted to 8" x 10"

And this yarn I bought yesterday, with which I'm going to make THIS cowl:

"Litoral Sparkle" from AslanTrends
Colour-way: #1318: "Tango Red Gold"

And this artwork by Susan Lenz, purchased through the SAQA 2013 Benefit Auction and now hanging in my studio:

Made by Hand - (C) Susan Lenz, 2013

Susan's work is by turns beautiful, quirky, poignant and/or downright unusual.  She uses recycled materials and is one of the best scroungers I've encountered!  Even her backs are interesting:

It's almost like having two pieces of art for the price of one!

And now back to your regularly scheduled stitching, eh?  See you tomorrow when I promise a WIP or two for Wednesday...
