Exhibit UP!

I've been out of the studio far too much lately, but no reason is more rewarding than that of setting up a display of my pieces in a local art show.

The brainchild of Bashaw's Margaret Jensen (seamstress and theatrical costumer extraordinaire) and Donelda Adams (mixed media artist), the Bashaw Art Club and the Majestic Theatre, it was created as a way for the Majestic to show off its historic building, for the artists to showcase their art, and for the town to attract summer visitors as they travel up and down the Boomtown Trail, camping at nearby Buffalo Lake, golfing, geo-caching and generally enjoying the tastes, sights, sounds and smells of summer time in rural Alberta.

My exhibit

I'm delighted to be part of a show that has been organized by people who have moved outside their own circle to solicit work from local artists in other media.  There are so many benefits!  I get to meet new people, share work in a medium that may be new to them, offer my work for sale or for hire (commission) and contribute to community spirit and well-being.  It's a "win" on so many levels.

Open Daily Tuesday, July 9 - Saturday, July 13 - 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Sunday, July 14 - 11 a.m - 3 p.m.

Admission: FREE
