Christmast Check List

  1. Eggnog  - check!
  2. Rum - check!
  3. Chardonnay for dinner - check!
  4. Fudge - check!
  5. Cookies - check!
  6. Pies - check!
  7. Roasting chicken - check!
  8. Cranberries - check!
  9. Mandarin oranges - check!
  10. Potatoes - check!
  11. Yam - check!
  12. Snacks - check!
  13. Parcels in the mail - check!
  14. Cards in the mail - check!
Left to do:
  1. 1+1/3 gift to knit
  2. 1+1/2 gift to sew
  3. Wrap said gifts
  4. make cranberry sauce
  5. put up and decorate tree
  6. visit neighbours with goodies
  7. volunteer for JDRF at Edmonton City Centre Mall - coat check and gift wrapping -- all proceeds to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation
  8. fresh linens on guest beds
  9. make rolls for dinner
  10. make olive tappenade for hors d'oeuvres
  11. rehearse songs for Dec. 23 service
  12. rehearse readings for Christmas Eve service
  13. stuff stockings
  14. Sit back, relax and enjoy my family!

I always liked that Peanuts scene. On your "to do" list, when you get a moment (which looks like almost never!) could you send me your recipe for the olive tapenade?

I like your list much better than mine! And I love that you're volunteering at JDRF. My son was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes when he was 11 years old, so I'm supportive, too. Good on you for that. Yours is so much more balanced and well-rounded while mine is all about cleaning and grocery shopping and finishing this quilt. (It really is the quilt that never ends.)
