They Broke the Mold...

Dick Clark, an American television icon, polished host, and gentleman of the airwaves, has died at 82.    A year ago, the 37th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards paid tribute to him.  The video below captures his career perfectly.  It's long (just over 15 minutes) so grab a cuppa, turn up your speakers, and be prepared to rock 'n' roll!

Mr. Clark, we'll miss you.

I remember coming home from school, turning on the old black and white, and dancing my heart out to American Bandstand. Drove my mother crazy!

I wasn't a dancer, but like Darlene, I watched American Bandstand on our old black and white TV after school. I spent many New Year's Eves with Dick Clark as well. Great memories! He will be missed.

Same here! Sad reminder that we all are aging.
