Sometimes I Embroider...

Take Time to Read
And when I do, I draw from my stash, picking one of three designers.  Most recently, I finished "Take Time to Read" from Jeannette Douglas Designs.  JD is a dear friend; I was her office organizer and book-keeper for 3 years before I moved out of Calgary.  We still keep in touch, but I often miss her sunny disposition and ebulient enthusiasm for stitching, colour, coffee and chocolate!

I made this piece for a silent auction fundraiser for our local library that took place in mid-April.  I know it sold, but I have no clue as to how much it brought in.

It was fun to do...though the one-thread-over-one-thread in places is a real challenge on my late fifites eyesight.  Thank goodness for good lighting and a magnifier!

P.S. my other two favourite designers are Thea Dueck of The Victoria Sampler, and Nan of Just Nan.  Enjoy!
