Goin' to Denver...
for the Victoria Day weekend in May 2011 (well, most of it). Yesterday Bee tipped me off to the fact that the SAQA Conference Registration links were finally posted, so I got busy. First, I called the Comfort Inn in downtown Denver to book my room at the special conference rate. Then I picked my desired mini-workshops (and an alternate) and sent in my form. I'm in! Lucky #15...
Oh, yeah, and there's the Denver Art Museum to think about. Apparently they have a permanent Textile Exhibit, and on the Sunday (May 22) there's a tour, which can be purchased at a separate cost. Alas, the tour starts just about when I should be getting to the Denver Airport for the flight home. The good news is, the Museum looks like it's a decent walk -- or perhaps a bus ride -- from the hotel, and it opens at 10 a.m. on Sundays...so I'll be able to go to that exhibit for an hour or two before I catch the shuttle to the airport. What a great way to top off what is sure to be a fabulous rewarding, educational, inspirational conference!

I've never been to Denver... slightly envious. Granted, in May 2011, I will have just recently returned from respiting in Disneyworld, so I might be over it by then. ;)
BUT--if you EVER go to Seattle for anything, you need to let that be a mom-and-daughter trip. :)
Have fun!
