It's Official

I'm joining the

I'm on Sock #2 of my third pair in almost as many weeks. These ones are a B'day prezzie for my DSIL's mom. She's a nurse/rancher, and spends a lot of her time in denim -- when she's not in OR scrubs! -- so I thought' I'd do 'em up in the lovely blue-grey mix that is "Yukon" from KnitPicks. I'm using the World's Most Basic Pattern -- the "56 Stitches, 56 Rows" pattern, designed by a gal named Nancy T. McGlynn. I found it at Knitting Now. The site appears to be rather neglected (i.e., not kept up to date), but the free patterns are pretty neat.

For my next pair, I've frogged a sock I made for my self in SuperSock yarn, and am going to remake it (and it's partner) from this pattern. I may try 60 sts and 60 rows, just to see what happens.

Sockitome, sockitome, sockitome!!
