Why Am I Not Surprised?!

Just when I thought I was up and running again with my sock...I finished the picot edge this a.m. on my walk, and was starting the lace pattern when one of my Brittany Birch 2.75 mm needles flipped out on me -- and disappeared into the surrounding landscape!!! AAARRRGH!!! This meant no knitting till I could get home and fetch more needles. I did three passes around the area, retracing my steps and looking hard from side to side -- to no avail. The problem with tiny wooden needles -- two problems, really: first, they make no noise when they fall; and second, they tend to blend in with their surroundings. I'm switching to some stainless steel ones inherited from Mom!!

After this start to the day, I thought this Quizzilla Result was highly appropriate:

You're Cinderella.

"Turn and peep, turn and peep,
no blood is in the shoe,
the shoe is not too small for her,
the true bride rides with you."
