It's a sock!

Or two...

The first of a pair for my DSis, whose having a birthday this week.

The other one, as you'll see from this photo,is about to have it's heels turned...



This is the 'undulating lace' pattern of the 'Romance' socks from February in The Sock Calendar: Socks for All Seasons by Catherine Wingate and Jackie Erickson-Schweitzer, November 2002 (Heartstrings Fiber Arts).

So. I am actually participating in the Socktoberfest -- even though now we're in November...I'm nothing if not persistent!!
