Christmas is coming...

And I've been having fun with gifts! I have finished two scarves and am well on my way with the wallhanging for my DS. I've also completed the top of a 'Yellow Brick Road' (lap-size) for the mother of my DSIL...and need to use My Sewing Room's tables to make the sandwich and quilt it. As for my DSIL, well, the back and 2 fronts of the ChicKnits Lo-Tech Sweat are completed, and I'm working on the first sleeve. I am also ready to trace the designs for another lap quilt, based on a pattern by Sew Be It patterns...for a dear friend in Ottawa who helped immeasurably when my dear cousin was ill and when, unexpectedly, she died. Two other quilts -- both "Magic Tiles" -- are at the long-arm quilters...

Stocking stuffers, by and large, have been purchased, and I am gearing up to bake for the Annual Cookie Exchange at Social Stitchers, my beloved quilt group.

In the "plan ahead" department, today I prepared my application for "Knitting Week", which is being sponsored in June 2005 and features Lucy Neatby of Tradewind Knits. It's gonna be great!

Thoroughly disgusted with the 15 lb. that aren't moving off my waist, I am going on a mini-retreat, mini-fast of sorts tomorrow -- focusing on fruit juices, my fitness class, one or two good, long walks, knitting and sewing.

So all for now...
