September is Apple Month

As we slip into fall (sometime today or tomorrow), I just had to go out in the sunshine of yesterday afternoon to pick the last of my apples. Aren't they purty? Yummy too!

They're either Parkland or Goodland (I can never remember which), and are crisp and crunchy to eat. You can make sauce out of them -- but it takes a slow cooker. My DH found a recipe for me at Just Slow Cooking and it works like a charm. Great for the apples that tumbled while I was trying to pick 'em!

Today is going to be a real mix of showers (maybe sn- sn- sn- I can't say it!!), clouds and sunshine...a perfect day to work on stashes. TTYL!
