More on CS

At the end of a long and lovely day, I got to relax a bit for about an hour, and stitch on my 'Autumn' Sampler, which I am doing as part of the "Four Seasons" -- purchased through my friend Janice at Traditional Stitches. I managed one sheaf of wheat, a few vine leaves and a flower before it was time to trek over to Rotary House for dinner with Margaret J. Miller

Once there, I ran into a gal I'd met at last year's Freckle's retreat -- another Margaret. By the time dinner was served, we'd assembled a motley crew of 2 Margarets, 2 Barbaras, a Lorraine, a Sharon and a Sue. I think we laughed loudest, longest and most often all evening! What a stunning and gifted group too -- a couple of fabric and quilting salesladies, an author, a much-travelled marketing manager...great group!

Ms. Miller was a delight. She spoke about Quilt Makers for Peace, with love and humour, and a display of the most dazzling and creative quilts I've seen to date! She is the author of several books, and now I've added her "Strips that Sizzle" and "Smashing Sets" to my Wish List at Chapters/Indigo Online. That list is gettin' longer by the minute! :-)
