Gettin' Away

Stitch and Sew Getaway, Day I -- Played with decorative threads. Teacher: Lilly Thorne, Fibre Artist Extraordinaire. Borrowed a machine because (duh!!) I forgot the plug for mine at home!!! However, it was a Husqvarna Cousin, a Rose, and so I was able to use my own bobbins and feet. Fun! Set me up for S&S, Day II (Wednesday) in which I take a "Pin Weaving" class -- weaving the front of a vest with strips of fabric (I've chosen Batiks) and embellishing same...

I played with slippery Sulky Sliver, with heavier pearl cotton, couching, double needles, with rayon, with bobbin's "on top", with solids and variegateds. Happiness!
