It's the End of the Day...
And I'm getting ready to curl up with my knitting (1st Sleeve, SCC) Chiaverrini's The Quilter's Apprentice, but before I do, I thought I'd pop in this snap of my first attempt at (a) making bias binding; and (b) appliqueing same to a table runner top. The bias has been made out of a glorious purple batik with a leafy pattern. I think it's neat to see how it works as a tape.
When I was making the tape on my quilt retreat last weekend (more about that later), I tried the fusible version too. Nancy at Quilt University, was right about its being stiff. I think I'd tend to use it more if I was doing straight lines, rather than an item with as many curves as this one. Watcha think?
