have been quite productive. I've been working on my City & Guilds Module 2, and finished up the last two activities (see "Polishing the Process" for details/photos), and managed to make a couple more pages in my book for The Sketchbook Project -- using some of what I've been learning under Linda's tutelage. In the page to the left, I used rubbing and cut-back techniques to make the birds on the right-hand side. The ones on the left were echoes showing through from the preveious page.
A bit of Walt Whitman... |
Butterfly Book |
In the second photo ("Butterfly Book") I used the wings of a butterfly to create a mini book-within-a-book. (The colours of the butterfly are purely imaginary, by the way.)
This afternoon I've been knitting away, Diesel on my lap, coffee at my elbow, and "The Tale of Hilltop Farm", an audio-book by Susan Wittig Albert, playing away on the computer via iTunes and my local library's e-book service. 'Round about us the wind howled and the snow fell and drifted...but we are safe, warm and entirely happy.

You have had a very productive weekend! I like your sketchbook pages. It sounds like you and Diesel have had a lovely afternoon!
Sounds like having to be in makes for productive and cosy days. I like the sketches you are doing!
